COMMON QUESTIONS

FAQ

I already run a successful, lean practice with high margins. How would I benefit?

Low overhead/high margins is a that number tells you how efficiently you convert revenue into profit. It tells you nothing about how much revenue you're leaving uncaptured. Those are two completely different questions. Most endodontists aren’t asking the second question. Our work isn't primarily focused on "is the overhead/margin good?" For the practices we work with, it usually is. Our work is focused on the question “how close am I to my ceiling?" and as a result “how could that also impact the real variables of my time and stress”. Most established owners are much further from their ceiling than they'd guess, precisely because everything feels relatively successful. Lean practices are actually primed for our model to have a big impact.

What is the Elevate Endo 1-on-1 Profitability Workshop?

The Elevate Endo 1-on-1 Profitability Workshop is a 2-day event designed to provide high quality endodontists with strategically tailored tools to help them optimize their profitability. This event takes place onsite at your practice by Dr. Paul Carruth, who has implemented this framework successfully in his own practice and now helps others do the same.

When is the 1-on-1 Workshop Offered?

Dr. Paul Carruth personally runs each workshop. Because he still operates his own full time private practice, there are only 10 spots available this year so far.

How to Register for a 1-on-1 Workshop?

To register, the first step is completing an in depth practice assessment to make sure you receive the level of value we want to provide. Click here to see if you're a good fit and sign up for a practice assessment!

Who is the Right Fit for a Workshop?

To determine if you are the right fit for a 1-on-1 Workshop, we run an in depth practice assessment to make sure you meet some minimum requirements ensuring we are able to provide you the highest value. These requirements include but are not limited to being a sole owner or partner, a revenue threshold, and a minimum number of years in practice. After the evaluation is complete, Dr. Carruth will hold a virtual meeting to summarize his findings, share insights and provide next steps. Endodontists with 5 or more years of experience are eligible for the workshop. Click here to begin the process! Endodontists with less than 5 years of expeience are not ready yet. Focus on establishing demand for these early years before focusing on optimization.

Will I Meet with Dr. Carruth or Someone Else?

All 1-on-1 Workshops are led by Dr. Carruth personally. Day one he will observe your practice in operation. Day two will be a full day of tactical 1-on-1 time with you.

ABOUT

Dr. Paul Carruth

FOUNDER, & LEAD ADVISOR, ELEVATE ENDO

I'm an endodontist. I bought my practice straight out of residency and was over a million dollars in debt before seeing my first patient. It was the most significant financial commitment of my life and, despite ten years of higher education, I had not been trained how to navigate it.

I cared deeply about doing high quality work, but no one had taught me how to run the business I now owned. The first several years were trial by fire. I made the kinds of mistakes most practice owners make—undercharging, staying with insurance companies that didn't serve my patients, accepting that "fully booked" meant the same thing as "profitable." It didn't.

Over the last decade I rebuilt how the practice operates from the ground up. Revenue grew 3.5x. Profit grew 6.5x. Not because I worked more hours or saw more patients. Not because I compromised quality. In fact my standard is higher than when I started. The levers were always there. I just hadn't been taught to see them.

I built Elevate Endo because I think most established endodontists are in a version of where I used to be: working hard, doing good clinical work, and quietly leaving significant profit and time on the table without realizing it. The information they need isn't theoretical—it's tactical, specific, and learned through experience. I'd rather help compress that learning curve than have other endodontists spend a decade figuring it out the hard way.

I'm a native North Carolinian. I studied textile engineering at NC State, earned my dental degree at UNC Chapel Hill, and completed my endodontics certificate at Baylor College of Dentistry. I live in Charlotte with my wife and three children, and I'm grateful to serve my community through the practice of endodontics.
